All Ford Day Sunday 30th October 2023
Words & pictures by David Urry
Russell & I departed at 7.45am for our trip to the Oakbank racecourse, we had an uneventful trip through Meadows & Hahndorf arriving at Oakbank at around 8.45am, Jim & Bev were already there so we parked up with them said hello. Russell & I went over to pick up our goodie bags & badges, I picked up a coffee & headed back over to our cars for a chat with Jim, Bev & Russell.
One of our members Simon had his Prefect parked nearby with the RS Club, he also had his Mk1 Cortina along as well. During the day we caught up with Chris from the Gawler Club who owns a 1955 100E Anglia that is work in progress. After lunch Jim, Bev & I went for another look around to make sure we had not missed anything, when we got back to our cars Russell had decided to leave early but had left behind his chair behind.
At 3.30pm they did the raffle then the trophy presentations for our group Anglia & Prefect first place went to Simon for his Prefect & I got runner up for my Anglia. We then said our farewells & headed in our separate directions home, another great day out with fellow Ford enthusiasts, would have been great to have had more cars from our club attend to put on a better display of our cars.
