Club Cars outside Museum

Maralyn & I were up early (not as early as some) to get on the road in our 100E Prefect to head to the meeting place at McCafé at Munno Para for morning tea & meet up with the others, when we arrived at McCafé Jim & Bev (100E Escort), Blaine & Glenda, Jim & Grace, Marilyn, Brian & Barb with Brian’s daughter Vanessa were all in having coffee, we joined them & enjoyed a lovely coffee, shortly after Glen & Jan arrived then Russell (107E Prefect) followed by Tony & Kay (100E Prefect) then Phil & Sylvia arrived in Sylvia’s new Mazda MX5. After we all, enjoyed coffee & some having food we headed off just after 10am for the trip up to Riverton.

On arrival we parked the 4 Club cars out the front of Scholz Park Museum where we were greeted by Jean & the other members of the Museum Committee who gave us a warm welcome & told us the story about the Museum back ground, we then had a look through the main buildings.

At 12 o’clock we headed across the road to the Riverton Hotel for a lovely pub lunch, we had great service as we were the only ones in the dining room.

After lunch we headed back across the road to Scholz Park to view the Blacksmith demonstration, which was very interesting, Russell was coopted into helping one of the blacksmiths as it was a chap that he works with during the week.

Around 3pm we all decided to start heading in our various directions towards home.

My thanks on behalf of all that attended go to the volunteers that make up the Scholz Park committee for all their hard work & dedication on keeping the history of the place going, also to the staff at the Riverton Hotel for a lovely lunch & great service.
